Top Artists This Week (May 23 – May 29, 2025)
- Manic Street Preachers – 14 plays
- Lone Striker – 12 plays
- The Lemon Twigs – 12 plays
- Anamanaguchi – 4 plays
- Blur – 2 plays
One of my friends has been recommending Sleep Token. I have only listened to a few but they are pretty good. Mostly not my kind of music though. Quite varied but a bit too metal for me (occasionally very shouty metal!). The tracks can also be a bit long as well.
I’m really enjoying Anamanaguchi’s new song Darcie. They are singing for the first time on an album and have a bit of a Weezer sound. Definitely looking forward to the whole album in August.
Listened to some of the Lofi Final Fantasy albums by Rifti Beats. Nice and calm.
The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack is very good.
I have had the Lone Striker album on again all week. It stuck in my head so much that when I went to buy it I ordered the vinyl as well!
Really enjoying Starry Eyed by Good Neighbours this week along with their other songs.
Lone Striker’s album has also been at the top of my list to listen to most days. Dunno and Pinnochio are the two stand out tracks for me.
I came across a few new bands this week, 3 from Tom Brown: Rural France, Teenage Tom Petties, and Lone Striker. All are indie rock/pop and will definitely get some more plays next week from me.
Nothing exciting again this week. I had a few best alternative and indie playlists on.
Barely listened to anything this week for some reason. Mostly had the Lofi playlists on (which include some of the artists at ranks 2-4 above).
Frog released a new album which is ok but I think I only really like the one song. Otherwise I just had old favourites on this week or the LoFi Girl playlist (or their Synthwave one). I find the LoFi good music to work to.
All the Frog plays are still the one song: MIXTAPE LINER NOTES VAR. VII. It has been stuck in my head all week.
Cadillac by Jack Swing is the one track from them that pulled me in.
The Frog song that got me was MIXTAPE LINER NOTES VAR. VII but I’m not sure about the rest of Frog yet.
